Jack Burns, Head of Public Affairs for the Social Security Administration (SSA) in Arizona, has heard a lot of questions about Social Security and Medicare over his 24 years with SSA. He has experienced the overwhelming need employees have for information on Social Security and Medicare as they face retirement and he appreciates, respects and continues to form partnerships with human resource professionals to make sure that information is available to employees.

• What are the most common questions employees nearing retirement have about Social Security and where can they find the answers?
• What are the “must do’s” when it comes to Social Security benefits?
• When do employees have to sign up for Medicare?
• What resources are available to choose Medicare coverage and how does Medicare coordinate with employer health plans?
